When you arrive at the slope in the picture below, on your right are the first parking lots. At the end of the hill there are parking lots on both sides of the street.

Arrow no. 1 means the road in front of the school that has about 20 parking spaces at the end of the road. It is also the closest parking lot to the entrances.

Arrow no. 2 means the parking spaces in front that are 4 hour parking spaces and the parking spaces in the hill that have no time-limit.

Arrow no. 3 means that there is a ramp downwards at the end of the parking lot and at the end of that ramp there are 10 additional parking spaces. Should there be a special circumstance, you could continue the route by arrow no. 3 to drive in front of the school, but this would require special circumstances.

Regardless if you arrive via car or public transportation, circle around to the other side of the school from the left side of the school (in the above picture the route pointed at by arrow no. 1). Circle aroud until you come to the side featured at the picture below.

Under the cover there are two doors for entry: nearer to the end of the cover is the women’s door (right picture below) and further away is the men’s door (left picture below). The men’s locker room has been changed to unisex -locker room due to the gender balance and in this space you can lock the WC -door if you want to change your clothes in your own privacy.

We dance in the gymnasium of Myllypuro elementary school. Space provided for us is a whopping 330 square meters.

Do note that you cannot enter the gymnasium with your outdoor footwear or black-soled shoes that leave marks on the dance floor. Outdoor footwear is to be left in the locker room. To clean the markings on the floor is a billable job and we will be charged for it if we have made any markings, so let’s all make sure we keep the place clean, including the locker rooms.

The direction of teaching is the wall where the stage is at so that we can create as long lines as possible. The floor is meant for indoor shoes, however you can bring your over the shoe placed sock with you if you want to be certain.

As you enter through the locker room doors you go through vestibule and then you are in the locker room. Picture below is from the unisex (men’s) locker room. In both locker rooms there is a shower and a toilet. You can leave your belongings in the locker room during the class.

You should not bring into the gymnasium anything else except your possible valuables and drinking bottles so that they take as little space as possible from the gymnasium. Do remember to clean after yourself when you leave the locker room! The locker rooms should be left in the same state as they were when entered into.

After the regular class you should vacate the premises quickly, as the school’s alarm systems switch on little after the classes have ended. After the alarms have been activated any movement on the premises triggers the alarm – and creates us an invoice that we will naturally charge from whoever caused the alarm to be triggered.
